By registering your product with Ciphertex you assure your company that you have access to the latest updates and information that will keep you data secure.
Ciphertex unique encryption key technology ensures that no one can access your data except people that you authorize. If the encryption key is not in the system at start-up the person using the system cannot access the data. To ensure data security no duplicate keys are every created and kept at Ciphertex. Once the encryption keys are made for your system they cannot be duplicated by anyone - not even us at Ciphertex. It is your responsibility to acquire as many keys as you need at the time of purchase to give to authorized employees and to maintain as a backup in case any are lost or damaged. Ciphertex does not have the ability to keep encryption keys in escrow or hold them for you or recreate them from a master key. If this was possible it would defeat the secure storage system you are purchasing.

Warranty Info
Limited Warranty. CIPHERTEX warrants the Product to be free of material defects and errors that prevent normal operation. On receipt of notice of such defect or error from Customer, CIPHERTEX shall, at its own expense, exercise commercially reasonable efforts to modify the Product, upgrade the Product, or suggest an alternate procedure or routine which eliminates the adverse effect of the defect or error. Notwithstanding the foregoing, CIPHERTEX shall be relieved from any such obligation if Customer fails to give CIPHERTEX a timely written notice of any error claimed, and the delay causes further damage to Customer.
Warranty Period. The limited warranty period for a CIPHERTEX multi-drive product is one (1) year Parts and Labor. The warranty period for a single-drive product is two (2) years Parts and Labor. This Limited Warranty extends only to the original purchaser of this CIPHERTEX branded product and is not transferable to anyone who obtains ownership of the branded product from the original purchaser.
Qualifications. Notwithstanding the warranty provisions set forth in the Limited Warranty, CIPHERTEX’s obligation with respect to such warranties shall be contingent on Customer’s use of the Product in accordance with instructions as provided in the User’s Guide. CIPHERTEX shall have no warranty obligations with respect to any portion of the Product which has been: (a) operated by the Customer in a manner inconsistent with requirements set forth in the User’s Guide or that has been modified by any party other than or authorized by CIPHERTEX; (b) damaged in any manner and by any cause other than any act or omission of CIPHERTEX; (c) operated with any third party hardware and/or software not owned or approved by CIPHERTEX; or (d) subjected to extreme power surge or electromagnetic field.

Disclaimer. In no event shall the liability of CIPHERTEX exceed the price paid for the product from direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential software, or its documentation. CIPHERTEX makes no warranty or representation, expressed, implied, or statutory, with respect to its products or the contents or use of this documentation and all accompanying software, and specifically disclaims its quality, performance, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose. CIPHERTEX reserves the right to revise or update its products, software, or documentation without prior notice.
Solid State Disk (SSD) Disclaimer
Recent research has shown that as many as 87% of commercially available SSD's, including Enterprise drives, are subject to various forms of failure due unexpected power loss. This includes some units with built-in power loss protection. These failures range from simple Data bit corruption to complete device failure (dead unit).
Because of this, Ciphertex does not assume any liability, beyond the standard product warranty, for Data loss or hardware failure for any product incorporating SSD technology.
Users are advised to Backup critical or important Data often in order to avoid experiencing unexpected Data loss in products using SSD technology. Users are also advised to always properly "Remove" or "Dismount" any storage device product from the operating system, prior to disconnecting or removing power, in order to minimize the possibility of product failure.
Back up your system periodically to avoid any potential data loss. CIPHERTEX disclaims any responsibility of all sorts of data loss or recovery.
Should you return the product for refund or maintenance, make sure they are carefully packed for shipping in the original packing material. Any form of damages due to improper packaging will not be compensated.
Remedies. The entire liability of CIPHERTEX under the limited warranty set forth in this article shall be to replace defective product as provided in this agreement without further liability to CIPHERTEX.
